Cotabato City City An independent component city — its charter bars its voters from electing provincial officials, so it answers to no province. It voted to join BARMM in the 2019 plebiscite and is the seat of the Bangsamoro Government. PSA and COMELEC both file it inside Maguindanao del Norte.	1	37	37	383,383	3

Special Geographic Area Special area The 63 barangays of North Cotabato that voted to join BARMM in 2019, constituted into 8 municipalities by Bangsamoro Autonomy Acts 41 to 48 and ratified by plebiscite on April 13, 2024.
